Text Box: How does it work? A muscle relaxant is injected directly into the wrinkles, temporarily relaxing the facial muscles. This will prevent the formation of wrinkles and soften any existing lines. How is it administered? Using a tiny needle, a very small amount of VISTABEL®  is injected into the treatment area. As the needle is so fine and only a small amount of liquid is used, the discomfort is minimal. No sedation or local anaesthetic is needed, and you can resume normal activities immediately. How long will it last? It starts to work in about 5 days. The greatest effect is seen after about 2-3weeks. The effects will last between 3-6 months depending on each individuals response. Repeat treatments have been shown to last longer. Contraindications Unfortunately this treatment cannot be offered to anyone who is pregnant, breast feeding, taking antibiotics or suffering from severe neuromuscular disorders.
